File this under “things I wish I thought of myself”: Modern furniture purveyors Blu Dot are encouraging fans to join them for their very first Swap Meet.

Here’s how it works- check out the list of contemporary furnishings, accessories and lighting and choose your favorite.

Then, play let’s make a deal. You can swap your stuff, your services, even your sense of humor. Right now, a lot of people are offering original artworks. But i’m rooting for Father Jeffrey Cufaude of Indianapolis who will (sort of) absolve the Blu Dot team of their sins for a rocker, and  Michelle in Rochester, who wants to provide membership to the “state foods of the month club” in exchange for a sofa.

Of the 5 approved swaps so far, this one's my fave.

The rules are pretty simple- no minors, no offering human children for trade, keep it clean- and the company is accepting submissions until the 11th. So start swapping. And be sure to support my bid– baby needs a rocker!
