We have had a new officemate at The Hartman Group this week, Princess Mia.  I’m not sure why, but I always feel the need to call adorable lady puppies “Princess.”  Miss Mia has been a welcome addition to our office family, helping us through a crazy week (I blame the full moon) and bringing joy to the office in a time when we are nose to the grindstone, trying to get everything on our to-do lists done.

Puppy-sitting is something that one of our colleagues does for friends from time to time (not often enough for the rest of the office) and she always brings her charges to work with her.  Last time it was Lola (no, she’s not a showgirl) and this time around, another of our colleagues suggested we start a side business as dog-sitters (I think they should have to audition for us first).  The energy that a dog brings to the workplace is like nothing even the sunniest human personality can whip up.  They make everyone happier and ready to play.  Yesterday Princess Mia took a 10 minute nap on my lap.  It would’ve been longer, but balancing on my ball chair with a dog in my lap trying to type was just one of the most uncomfortable positions I’ve ever tried working in.  We are all mourning the return of Princess Mia to her parents, but no doubt we will have another adorable puppy face to enjoy again soon!
