I don’t know if you’ve heard, but tomorrow is a pretty big day for royal watchers. And, while the whole world speculates about what the future princess will wear for her nuptials, I’m a lot more concerned with the crowd’s headgear. In particular, the fascinators. Chalk it up to my English heritage, or a love of bobs, bangles and feathers- either way, I’m fascinated with these little headpieces, which add whimsy and a real sense of occasion to any outfit.
It’s not a totally new concept in America, either. You’ve probably noticed those headbands with a patch of feathers on the side in the past couple of years. The drama’s not the same, but the thought is there.
I think we should start the trend, blog friends. Let’s get fascinating for all those summer weddings, charity galas, and even baby namings. I think this one is perfect for Baby Jasper’s Bris:
