There’s an ancient proverb that goes something like, “things made in miniature are super cute.”

Well, maybe I made that up…but I really do believe it.  Exhibit A: mini cupcakes from Crumbs .

Only about an inch and a half tall, these delectable delights are big enough to give you a case of the “Mmm’s”…but small enough to be included in any diet.  Available in a variety of flavors, toppings, and creative designs (i.e. the Tony Hawk cupcake, which is topped with an edible skateboard), these desserts will make any occasion a reason to celebrate.

And since my birthday is coming up (…in three months), I thought I’d give you all some gift ideas:

The Candy Cupcake: where M&M = MMM

The Oreo Cupcake: best with a glass of milk!

The Devil's Food Cupcake: sinfully delicious

Also, Crumbs has announced its participation with O, The Oprah Magazine’s 10th Anniversary Celebration and the “Live Your Best Life Weekend.” The big-hearted bakery has created a special, limited-edition cupcake for the celebration and will donate $1 from each cupcake sold to the 10 different charities the walk benefits. The charities include: A Better Chance, Best Friends, Camp C.O.P.E, FFAWN, HealthCorps, New York Restoration Project, Oceana, OCRF, Partners in Health and Share Our Strength.

I’m so curious to see what this Oprah cupcake will look like! Maybe it’ll be decorated in the color purple? Wink!
