The VP+C crew is back in NYC after an exciting journey. Here are the top ten things we learned on the road:
1. Traveling folks have a zest for life.
2. Social media is a magnificent tool, yet face-to-face interaction is even more valuable today.
3. True hospitality goes a long way.
4. GPS is not always to be trusted.
5. Pittsburgh is surprisingly fabulous.
6. Sheetz is the best truck stop in the United States… or maybe in the world.
7. It is important to break the mold, take risks, and go out on a limb if you want to make an impact.
8. Fallingwater is a true masterpiece (with some provocative secrets to boot!).
9. If you want to feel like you have a brick in your stomach, you will enjoy Chicago deep dish pizza. (NYC slices 4eva!)
10. There are few things more inspiring than a trip on the open road.
We also wanted to quantify our success on the road so we developed this metric to demonstrate our digital impact. Over the 5 day, 2,000+ mile trip, we averaged 5 social media interactions per mile. That’s a lot of internet love!
*Metric includes Facebook Impressions, Page Likes, Post Likes, Shares, Comments, and Posts, Twitter Followers and Retweets, Instagram Followers, Likes, and Comments, and Blog views.
