Tuesday was another big evening for V+P- we headed over to Davis & Warshow for the latest installation of Show Snapshots: KBIS, a fabulous event co-hosted by our friends at Interior Design.
Despite the heat, the design community came in droves to hear Mark McMenamin and Deborah Wilk weigh in on the top trends from K/BIS 2010.
The pair were perfect together- Deborah’s wry comments on the synergy between fashion and home furnishings were spot-on, while Mark shared nearly 50 smart, stylish new kitchen and bath products from the show.
The night was particularly special since Guide 85, a designers’ resource book V+P conceived to celebrate Davis & Warshow’s 85th anniversary, made its debut with a champagne toast and a thunderous round of applause.
The guide features 85 incredible A&D resources (selected by more than 30 top design and architecture talents and friends of Davis & Warshow!) that provide exceptional products and services to the New York area. To get your own copy of Guide 85, visit any of D&W’s showroom locations.
And then, of course, there was the food. We nibbled risotto cakes with truffled mushrooms, Moroccan-spiced chicken in little phyllo purses, salmon Napoleans and goat cheese and red pepper tarts.
While some people prefer a juice cleanse or the the cabbage soup diet, we at V+P swear by a strict hors d’oeuvres regimen.
