Famous Faces in Famous Places…

Scene + Heard

Although our office is in Soho, a mecca for celebrity sightings in NYC, I’m often too distracted (or, lately, too cold) to bother looking to see who’s around me. I usually find out what I missed when I read the next day’s Page Six. But this week was different. Things started off with a bang when the V+P staff was treated to a taping of ABC’s The View. Sitting about 15 feet from the tiny little stage, I got to watch the View ladies in action. (And yes, that bickering is real!) But the real treat for me was seeing Ashton Kutcher, who was there to promote his new movie, Valentine’s Day. Totally going to see that. I was soo excited, I couldn’t manage to take a decent picture to post here. But I assure you he is every bit as handsome in person. After the show, we also had a quick meet-and-greet with Whoopi Goldberg. She’s fabulous. The week got even better when my client sent me a photo of my office chair in action! The Allsteel #19 chair, which we all sit in here at V+P, has hit the big time — it’s the office chair du jour for the NBC show, Parks and Recreation. Next time you see Nick Offerman, aka “Ron Swanson” at his desk, that’s my chair! (Well, technically, it’s Allsteel’s chair…and we’re so proud it’s gone Hollywood.)

There are also rumors that #19 made an appearance in the blockbuster movie Avatar. I’m working on a photo of that too, but I have a feeling James Cameron may be a little too busy to send that my way.
