The future is here as it really feels like what we would have imagined for 2016–and that goes for interior designers too. As Microsoft’s Hololens works with the A&D world to develop 3D renderings, they will never have to hear the client say, “I just can’t imagine what it would look like.” ~ Alana Moskowitz/ Story via Editor at Large / Image via Microsoft

Practical Performance Art

gasser

I’m falling in love with Gasser’s latest ads on their collection of chairs + performance art. The images are stunning and it drives an experiential feeling to a beautifully designed inanimate object. While I certainly won’t be attempting any of these intricate moves at home, it has got me thinking of how we can create experiences and moments for products that are likely not associated with movement and art. ~Melodie Mendez / Images via Gasser

It’s like de-fragging your hard drive or cleaning a file cabinet you wake with an ability to make quicker connections between the synapses in the brain. So get to sleep! ~Margaux Caniato / Story via Phys.org

New Year’s always brings a flood of newbies to my local gym. While the typical “what does this do” questions where still rampant (no curls in the squat rack!) I had several individuals ask what I thought was a strange question, “You really don’t wear any makeup here?” But apparently they weren’t alone in their quest for cosmetic companionship, The New York Times covered the rise of fitness-friendly cosmetics this week. ~ Michelle Addo/ Story & Image via NYT
